Artist's Description

Gentle curves and smooth lines define the vast dunes under a clear sky. The warm tones of the sand contrast beautifully with the blue hues above, highlighting nature's simple yet stunning composition. That is Erg Chebbi at sunset. Located in the very southeastern corner of Morocco, this Erg - dune landscapes formed by wind - is one of the largest in Morocco. and Here, about twenty miles from the Algerian border, is where the northern foothills of the Sahara Desert are stopped by the Anti Atlas Mountains crossing the country from east to west.

Nando Lardi

It probably started with a young teenager looking at NatGeo pictures and deciding that he wanted to be the next Galen Rowell. First published at seventeen, first exhibition at twenty-one, photography suddenly took a third-row back seat for a couple of decades as life unravelled in unforeseeable directions. Half a lifetime later the re-entry into the initial passion was a decade of extreme mountaineering and the resulting photos becoming the foundation for a stock photography business. Age, not stopping at my doorstep, led me to shift priorities back to what I once dreamed of doing.
